My September report card:
There’s a lot to be said for September. I definitely tried to get a lot of things done (including a number that weren’t posted on here including biking adventures and work things), so I feel I should provide a report card for the things that I said I was going to do. Here goes:
- Writing Every Day (in blog) – C -
Technically I failed this, but considering I’ve actually been writing semi-reguarly this is actually a win.
- Two Weeks Without Drinking – A -
So far so good (but this might be cheating since i’m actually taking antibiotics), but I think I’m going to extend this about a week past when I’m done with the antibiotics. Surprisingly don’t feel that I miss drinking that much this time around.
- Operation Facetime – B -
The operation is moving along, slowly, but it’s moving along so we’re still doing okay on this one.
- Song Recording – D minus -
Yeah, this is really a Fail, but more of an unprepared attempt was made than anything so there isn’t anything I’m willing to post right now.
- Five Stranger High-Fives (in one day) – F -
Totally didn’t even get one… This should have been chosen for a weekend day not a Tuesday where all I was going to do was go to work.
- Weekly Yoga – A -
I actually wanted to go twice a week, but haven’t been able to… still the goal was for once weekly and this I’ve actually been doing for about a month!
- Work Out At Least 5 Days A Week – C -
Haven’t been working out 5 days a week, but I’ve been working about at least 3-4 days a week so this one could be worse. I think I need some form of lady motivation on this one.
- Reading Daily – C -
Similarly to working out 5 days a week, I haven’t been reading daily, but I’ve been reading at least 3-4 times per week which is more regularly than i’ve read in a long time. Kudos to me.
- Watch New Live Band (per week) – D -
This has actually been going on since the beginning of the summer and I was doing pretty well (mostly stumbling into watching live shows), but I’ve been failing the past couple of weeks. Partly because I haven’t been going out as much and party because I haven’t really made the effort.
- MBA stuff – This one I’m going to say I’m starting in October.
Overall, antics-wise, September was not the most productive. What’s the take-away from all this? Quit overextending yourself. As I said in a recent post, I’m going to take just three (maybe four) things to work on for the month and posting about those. I’m going to make a real attempt to keep some of these other things up (mainly the yoga, working out, reading, and completing operation: facetime), but my main efforts are going to be focused on those new monthly goals.
